The Alternate Units can be Scientific, Decimal, Engineering, Architectural, Fractional, Etc.

The precision of the Alternate Units and Alternate Unit Tolerance can also be controlled.

Trailing Zero Suppression is frequently used when the Alternate Unit is metric.

The Linear Scale is the multiplier used to determine the Alternate Unit value.  The Alternate Unit is equal to the actual measurement times the Linear Scale.

Alternate Units can be a very useful tool.  They only work, however,  if the dimensions are associative.

The settings discussed here can be applied to a dimension style or to a selected dimension.
