Communicating with the Today Window Bulletin Board AutoCAD 2000i introduced the Today Window, which includes a Bulletin Board providing a central source of CAD and project information for users. Just click on the Edit button and specify the name of the file to be displayed in the Bulletin Board.
Want to keep everyone information of today's meetings, events and reminders? Create a document named Today's_Events in Microsoft Word and save it as an HTM file. Locate the file so that it is accessible from each workstation. On each workstation, use the Edit button in the upper right corner of the Bulletin Board to specify the file to be displayed.
Left click on the Save Path button and voila! The document is displayed in the bulletin board. Just update the Today's_Events.htm file with new events and everyone will be informed of the companies activiites.
Tired of Searching for Reference Materials? Place reference documents at your finger tips with the Bulletin Board. Create a file in Microsoft Word named Drafting & Design Reference Docs.htm with hyperlinks to Word, Excel and PDF files containing valuable reference materials.
Left click on the Save Path button. You have a Table of Contents quickly linking you to reference information.
Increasing/Decreasing Bulletin Board Space The Bulletin Board pane of the Today Window can be maximized using the + button towards the upper left of the pane. This will minimize the My Drawing pane.

Coming in January…Creating Detail Libraries using iDrop Using i-drop, you can drag a drawing file from an i-drop handle on a Web document into an open AutoCAD drawing. This method provides an easy way to insert a drawing file from a Web document into your current drawing. The dragged drawing file is inserted as a block. You cannot open a drawing file by dragging it from a Web site.
