How to Edit a Linear Dimension Using Multifunctional Grips
Make sure Dynamic Input (F12)
is on to access the multifunctional grips.
Linear dimensions have grip specific menus. Hover over the grip at the text location and the menu at the right appears.
Stretch
Reposition the dimension text retaining the current text location properties.
Move with Dim Line
Reposition the dimension text along with the dimension line and arrows.
Move Text Only
Reposition the dimension text, but not the dimension line and arrows.
Move with Leader
Reposition the dimension text, but not the dimension line and arrows.
Connect the dimension text to the dimension line with a leader.
Above the DIM Line
Place the dimension text above the dimension line.
Center Vertically
Place the dimension text so that it is centered above the dimension line.
Reset Text Position
Position the dimension text according to the dimension properties.
Hover over the grip at one of the arrow locations and the menu at the right appears.
Stretch
Reposition the dimension text retaining the current text location properties.
Continue Dimension
Creates a chained dimension measured from the extension line of the hovered grip.
Baseline Dimension
Creates stacked dimension measured from the extension line of the non-hovered grip.
Flip Arrow
Flips the arrow to the opposite side of the extension line.
